Frequently Asked Questions

Which paddle is right for me?

SPARK — Your first carbon fibre upgrade. At 220g it's the lightest in the range, with a forgiving 10mm honeycomb core that absorbs mis-hits and reduces arm fatigue. Built for players stepping up from recreational gear who want genuine performance without overcomplicating it.

EDGE — Built for players who attack. Firmer 8mm honeycomb core with Gen-4 hybrid construction delivers direct energy transfer and snap on drives. If you want power, stability and a crisp response, EDGE is your paddle.

APEX — Built for touch players who demand feel. Full EPP foam core — no honeycomb — gives you a soft, connected dwell on the ball that honeycomb simply can't match. If dinking, drops and precision placement define your game, APEX was made for you.

What's the difference between SPARK, EDGE and APEX?

The core construction is completely different across all three — not just a matter of feel preference.

SPARK uses a 10mm polypropylene honeycomb core. Larger cells mean more flex and impact absorption — softer, more forgiving, easier on your arm over long sessions.

EDGE uses a tighter 8mm honeycomb core with a Gen-4 hybrid PU foam layer. Less flex, more direct energy transfer. The ball comes off the face with snap.

APEX uses a full EPP foam core — no honeycomb at all. Foam absorbs and regulates energy rather than reflecting it, giving you a slower, more connected dwell time on the ball. Completely different feel from either honeycomb paddle.

What are the paddles made from?

All three paddles use T700 raw carbon fibre with a peel-ply surface — the same material specification as paddles sold at two to three times the price. The peel-ply texture grips the ball through contact, generating spin on serves, resets and drops.

The core construction differs across the range:

SPARK — 16mm polypropylene honeycomb, 10mm cells
EDGE — 16mm polypropylene honeycomb, 8mm cells, Gen-4 hybrid construction
APEX — 16mm full EPP foam core, no honeycomb

Same premium face. Three completely different cores. Three completely different feels.

Why only three paddles?

Because most brands offer too many. Each FIZZ paddle has a clear role - nothing duplicated, nothing unnecessary.
