The firmest paddle in the FIZZ lineup. Built for players who attack.

At 230g with a tight 8mm honeycomb core and Gen-4 hybrid construction, EDGE delivers direct, explosive energy transfer. When you drive the ball, it comes off the face with snap. The paddle doesn't cushion your power โ€” it amplifies it.

Gen-4 hybrid core. Built for power without sacrifice.

Most paddles make you choose between power and durability. EDGE doesn't. The Gen-4 hybrid construction combines a precision PP honeycomb core with a high-expansion PU foam layer โ€” improving structural integrity over older single-layer designs and eliminating the core collapse issues that have plagued high-end paddles from bigger brands.

An embedded perimeter impact layer wraps both sides of the paddle and extends to the upper rim โ€” reinforcing the frame so hard swings stay true and aggressive play doesn't compromise the structure over time.

The EVA foam throat zone reduces torsional flex and anchors the core, giving you a more stable, predictable response during resets and blocks. Less wrist strain on fast exchanges. More precision when you need to reset quickly under pressure.

If you play power-first and want a paddle that rewards aggressive swings with clean, consistent feedback โ€” EDGE is built for you.

  • Firm and responsive on contact
  • Ball comes off with snap on drives
  • Stable through hard swings
  • Crisp, direct energy return
  • Precise during resets and blocks
  • Powerful without feeling heavy
  • You attack from the baseline and want real pop on drives
  • You prefer a crisp, direct response over a cushioned feel
  • You've been frustrated by paddles that feel dead under power
  • You play all-court and want both pop and stability
  • You're upgrading from a soft or entry-level paddle
  • You want a proven, durable build โ€” not experimental tech

T700 Raw Carbon Fibre Face

Raw peel-ply texture grips the ball through contact for spin on every shot type โ€” serves, drives, drops and resets. The same face material specification used in paddles at two to three times the price.

Gen-4 Hybrid Core: PP Honeycomb + PU Foam Layer

Tight 8mm PP honeycomb cells deliver direct energy transfer and snap. The PU foam layer refines the traditional construction โ€” improving structural integrity and eliminating the core collapse that affects single-layer honeycomb paddles over time. More power. Longer lifespan.

Perimeter Edge Reinforcement

An embedded impact-absorbing layer wraps both sides and the upper rim. Reinforces the frame under aggressive play. Minimises vibration without softening the feel โ€” so you still get crisp feedback on contact, just without the harsh rattle on mis-hits.

EVA Foam Throat Zone

Strategically placed EVA foam at the throat reduces torsional flex and anchors the core. Adds precision during quick resets and blocks. Less wrist strain on fast exchanges at the kitchen line.

Hybrid Shape (417 ร— 192mm)

3mm longer than SPARK's standard shape. Extends reach slightly without changing the balance point significantly. More court coverage without sacrificing swing speed โ€” most players adapt within a session.

What makes EDGE different from a standard honeycomb paddle?

Standard honeycomb paddles use a single PP core. EDGE uses Gen-4 hybrid construction โ€” PP honeycomb enhanced with a PU foam layer โ€” which significantly improves structural integrity and resists core collapse. Many $300โ€“400 paddles have seen high failure rates from core crush. EDGE is built on a proven architecture that avoids that.

Is EDGE suitable for dinking and soft play?

Yes. The EVA throat zone and perimeter reinforcement provide more control than a basic honeycomb paddle during resets and soft shots. EDGE is a genuine all-court paddle โ€” it prioritises power-first feel, but it handles the soft game well.

The hybrid shape is 3mm longer than SPARK โ€” will I notice?

The extra length extends reach slightly without meaningfully changing swing speed or balance. Most players adapt within a session or two. It gives you more coverage at the net and a slightly longer lever on drives.

How does EDGE compare to paddles costing $300+?

The T700 raw carbon face and Gen-4 hybrid core are the same material specifications used in paddles at two to three times the price. The difference is brand margin, not materials. EDGE is priced to give Australian players access to genuine performance construction without the import tax.

What the numbers mean

  • Swing weight 118.5

Measures how the paddle feels in motion, not on a scale. A lower number means faster hands and easier resets. A higher number means more plow-through power on drives. The moderate range (114โ€“117) suits all-court play.

  • Balance point 234mm

Measured in mm from the base of the handle. Lower = more weight toward the handle for faster reaction time. Higher = more head weight for power leverage on drives.

  • Deflection 0.085

Measures how much the paddle face flexes under impact. A higher number means more face flex โ€” a softer, more forgiving feel. A lower number means a stiffer face โ€” more direct, snappy energy return.
